If Your Dreams Take Off and Fly by John Butler

My Review

'You will see so many things and you will realise why, like you, this world is precious, my little butterfly.'

This is an absolutely gorgeous and very special book that I believe little ears everywhere need to hear at least once in their lives!

This storyline is powerful and reads in a lyrical way - which is so pleasant for reading aloud. Little imaginations running wild and free is quite possibly the best thing in the whole world and this story highlights that wonderfully.

The little person in this story falls asleep and is taken on a wild adventure in the form of a dancing butterfly. The butterfly travels all over delighting in all of the wonderful wildlife along the way.

The ending wraps up so beautifully to make the most perfect bedtime story!

If Your Dreams Take Off and Fly is an all round stunning read that needs to go on every child's wishlist. The illustrations are so subtle and enchanting to get lost in. A real winner!

5/5 Stars!

There's a Dinosaur in My Bathtub by Catalina Echeverri

My Review

'Hello! My name is Amelia and I have something very important to tell you. Shhh! It's a secret so you mustn't tell anyone in the whole world...OK?'

Amelia has a dinosaur in her bathtub...a French dinosaur called Pierre! As you can imagine, having a dinosaur in your bathtub can be a bit of a tricky business. Everyone needs to use the bathroom...but good old Pierre is very good at hiding! Actually he's so very good that nobody can see him...except Amelia herself!

Amelia and Pierre go on wild and super fun adventures together - they really seem to be the very best of friends. But a dinosaur couldn't possibly hang around in a bathroom forever...could he?

You know, this book is rather magical at showcasing a very wild imagination - really there is no better thing in the whole world! Kids have imaginary friends all the time and that's perfectly fine - Amelia's no different, her dinosaur buddy provides an escape for her imagination to run riot!

Join in with Amelia and her friend as they go on their fun filled adventures. Loose yourself in those moreish illustrations and delight in their super bright loveliness! An all round real winner!

Marmaduke the Very Different Dragon by Rachel Valentine & Ed Eaves

My Review

Aw, this is a glorious story about the value of finding friendship for just being yourself!

Marmaduke is a gorgeous little fellow, but he's very different from all the other dragons. It even puts him off flying like all of the others because he wings are...he thinks...a little...strange!

Our poor little dragon is teased by others and thinks that he will never find a princess of his very own to protect...

When Marmaduke reveals his secret wings...there are the most fabulous explosions. You see, after everything, Marmaduke finds a friend and really that is the most important thing in the whole world!

Marmaduke the Very Different Dragon is a beautifully heartwarming story that will give the reader the warm and fuzzies. It has the most important messages for little ears and little eyes will be delighted by the most eye-catchingly wonderful illustrations - look out for that super sparkly surprise!

5 /5 Stars!

Penguin in Love by Salina Yoon

My Review

This book is quite simply adorable - just look at that super cute little fellow on the front cover! This story most definitely has the aww factor!

'One day, Penguin was looking for love. Instead, he found...a mitten.'

Love is a great big adventure that sweeps you off your feet but never quite runs smoothly. Penguin finds this out in this beautiful story. He stumbles upon a mitten, so he makes it his mission to unravel it's mystery....

Penguin and his friend Bootsy embark on a wild adventure mission. But they soon find out that together they make quite a pair and when they are parted...well, they are broken hearted! When they find each other again they realise that love was right under their little beaks all along!

We loved that the penguins were knitters and watching all of their designs come together was very wonderful indeed!

Penguin in Love is a heartwarming page turner that takes the reader on quite the adventure. The illustrations are very striking and we adored feasting our eyes over the vibrant delights! A must read book!

This gorgeous love story is just the perfect read for Valentines Day.

4 / 5 Stars!

Busy Builders illustrations by Rebecca Finn (Campbell Books)

My Review

'Busy Builders, say hello, lets get started, here we go!'

What's not to love about this book! Any little boy (or girl) will adore pouring over these super bright pages!

The text rhymes beautifully and manages to hold attentions effortlessly. It takes us through a super busy day on a building site, with little pull, push and slide tabs to make it all come to life.

The little tabs are very sturdy and can take plenty of abuse from those strong little fingers - which is a huge plus!

There are plenty of talking points throughout, which is super fun to try and discover in the big wide world while out exploring!

The super bright illustrations are what truly make this book so eye-catchingly wonderful. It's hard to know what delights to feast your eyes upon first.

Busy Builders is a huge winner from Campbell Books that we just adore returning to again and again!

5 / 5 Stars!
