My Review

Hello Mummy is an adorable little board book that is just the perfect size for little fingers!

Each page has a super cute baby animal and the question - Where's your mummy? Then there are the mummy animals who each have a different touch and feel bit to discover and explore. There are pandas (our favourite), kittens, lambs, ducklings and a lovely little mirror mummy surprise at the end. The mirror is a big plus because what baby doesn't love to look at themselves?

This is a really bright and sunny board book that is just bursting with life and vibrancy.

Hello Mummy is a really beautiful picture book perfect for sharing with baby. It introduces animals in a fun way and also different textures. One of the better first touch-and-feel board book out there!

The Gruffalo Activity Book by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler

My Review

Put your hands up if you're a Gruffalo fan *raises hand wildly*. Well then what could be more exciting than the Gruffalo having it's very own activity book!

Inside there are lots of exciting and very fun things to do: spot the difference, word search, make a picture, a maze, complete the scene, colouring, a crossword, dot to dot, matching pairs, picture search and could and cut your very own Gruffalo mask - sounds fab - right?

Kids will be entertained for hours on end with the activities - admittedly I thought there could of been more to do inside as the book was a bit on the shorter side. Did I mention the reusable stickers? Yes reusable - isn't that excellent? Kids love stickering and what better thing than to be able to restick a sticker!

My daughter is 5 and was probably a little young for the crosswords and stuff - but she still enjoyed with a little help.

This Gruffalo activity book is a must for fans and also folks new to the Gruffalo world. We really enjoyed it!

A Wheelie Good Book of Colours - Zoom! (My Little World)

My Review

Zoom is a fantastic board book that is strong, sturdy and made to last - which is a good thing as we all know how rough those little fingers can be!

There are fab finger holes on each page, which makes turning and holding these pages much easier. This story also introduces colour recognition in a super fun way!

The text is a whole lot of rhyming fun and makes reading out loud very wonderful indeed. The animals are all going for a race but who will win when they're all having so much fun.

There is also a lovely little surprise at the end...

We thought the illustrations were wonderfully bright and cheerful - we loved chatting about the animals on each page.

Zoom is a lovely board book that introduces colours and is just all round great fun for all.

Busy Railway - Illustrated by Rebecca Finn

My Review

'Busy Railway, say hello, all aboard, now off we go!'

Busy Railway is a super strong and very sturdy board book that has some fantastic push, pull and slide tabs to explore.

It takes the reader through a super busy day on a railway. From getting all aboard, to train watching in the busy station, even seeing level crossings - your little folks are sure to have a blast! The little tabs are great for practising those fine motor skills and each page throws up some fantastic talking points for you and your little person.

The text is short, to the point but rhymes in a really beautiful way. Perfect for twitchy little people who can't sit still for too long.

Busy Railway is a super busy book that is bursting with life and colour. A lovely little extra is the busy bee to try and find and discover on each page! There is so much to learn and discover - it's a real must have!

The Yes by Sarah Bee & Satoshi Kitamura

My Review

The Yes is a powerful story who's message is not only for children but for adults alike!

In a world full of No's, closed doors and rejections it can be tough to push through and fight back to try and get what you want out of life. This fantastic story does exactly this and it's very empowering!

In a lovely comfy place is a thing called a Yes, who has to try and get to where he needs to be. But to get there he must battle his way through a barrage of endless No's who try and stop him and bring him down. It's a bumpy journey for the Yes and at times it looks like he'll never get there, but he never gives up or gives in to the endless stream of No's that try and drag him under.

The artwork in here is glorious - really eyecatchingly vivid and inviting.

The Yes is actually quite a moving story about overcoming your fears and your own self-belief. Everyone out there needs to hear this message - so either buy it to share with the little folks in your life or even just for yourself! I really can't recommend it enough!

Miffy Dress-up Colouring & Activity Book

My Review

Yay for new Miffy books! She really is quite an awesome bunny and it's so lovely to see her in print again - full of life and colour!

Inside this super fun activity book you can match shadows, colour Miffy, do fun mazes, make patterns and match pairs. All of the activities are great for practising fine motor skills, encouraging imagination and also memory.

Although there is quite a few activities to do throughout the book, it's still quite short (16 pages) - I think it could of had tons more to do inside!

This is an adorable Miffy activity book that will entertain and delight children everywhere. We can't wait to have more modern Miffy books in our hands!

Don't Call Me Sweet by Smriti Prasadam Halls & Angie Rozelaar

My Review

Don't call me sweet is a gorgeous story full of fun and humour!

We have a mischievous little monster, who wants to be seen as scary, slimy and stinky....definitely not sweet! He stomps around getting stinky, dirty and demanding not be called sweet....until he bumps into something rather big and scary!

An oh how the tables turn...our terrifying little monster wants to be....sweet! I wonder why?

Kids always want to be big boys and girls, and they don't like to to be babied. This fantastic story pushes the don't grow up too fast point home to all those little devils that are in a rush to grow up too quickly!

The artwork really is wonderful and we delighted in all of the icky sticky things the super cute little monster got up to.

Don't Call Me Sweet really is quite a sweet book that will have kids (and adults) grinning from ear to ear! It's also the perfect story for showcasing your different voices - so read it out loud and with great enthusiasm.
